What can I expect when I visit the
office?
Many people may feel that visiting a solicitor is a daunting
prospect. At Milton Francis & Hughes, you will be given
a warm welcome by friendly and approachable staff. Your Adviser
will always deal with your matter in a professional and friendly
way.
How much will legal advice cost?
Generally, we cannot give a fixed quotation. At the initial
meeting we will give you an indication of our hourly fees
and estimated total costs. This will depend on the type of
matter and the experience of the specialist. You can set a
limit on the costs that we incur and when we reach that limit
we can review the situation with you.
Do you give free legal advice?
No, although we do offer a free half hour consultation in
relation to divorce in which we can provide you with general
advice about your options. However, this firm does not undertake
Public Funding work (formerly Legal Aid) and if we discover
that you may be eligible for some type of funding assistance,
we will refer you to a firm which does provide Public Funding
Services.
Do I have to come to the office?
Usually yes, as we would wish to personally meet all our
Clients. If you are not able to visit us here due to a disability
or illness, arrangements can usually be made for us to visit
you at your home.
What are your opening hours?
Our office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm. The office
is usually closed for lunch between 1pm and 2pm. |
